DUNSTAN DISTRICT FLOURMILL.
A meeting of Gentlemen was held at the Hartley Arms Hotel Clyde, on evening last, the 30th of June, Yo consider a scheme for the erection* of a flour-mill in the Dunstan District. J. D. Feraud, Esq., J. P., was voted to the chair. The chairman, on opening the meeting said that the erection of a flour mill had been mooted on several previous therefore he did not wish it to be thought that he considered himself entitled to any particular credit for originality in the matter, t 1 n the contrary, he now, as it were, only expressed a foregone conclusion, and would urge upon the attention of those who had a stake and felt an interest ; n the district he necessity that existed for something be : ng done winch would not only tend to increase the population, but to retain in the district the money that was now- sent away for what we could produce ourselves, namely, flour. With the assistance of others, he had prepared a prospectus, which he would submit to the meeting, and, if those present coincided with it. he-trusted one and all would exert their every endeavor to carry the affair out to a successful issue Mr. A. D. Harvey was appointed Interim "onorary Secretary and requested to read the Prospectus. (see advertisment.) Proposed by Mr. Hazlett, seconded by Mr. M'Connochie, That the prospectus be adopted, and that the same be printed, and every publicity given to it. Carried. Tehe meting adjourned till Saturday evening the 4th instant.
