CLYDE SCHOOL.
The Committee of the aboveSehool hell a meetiing on Friday, the 24th ult., at the School Room. Present: Messrs. Harlow, Christophers, (Clark), George, Hastie, Hazlctt, and M'Pherson. Mr. Hazlett occupied the chair. The minutes of the last meeting were read a ri continued. Letters were read and received from the Secretary to the Edneatinal Board and from Mr. T. (ieorge, of the Clyde Choir, applying for the use of the School Room for oiie night in each week, for the purposes of practising music. The application was granted, provided that the evening should not interfere with the classes held by the School-muster. The report of" the Visiting Committee showed the general management and ellici oney of the school to lie most satisfactory. The Visiting Committee laid upon "the table a recommendation that an application be made to the Educational Hoard to recommend that this Committee have power to dispose of the present school-house and that a sum or £3OO be placed upon the estimates for rebuilding the same upon the ground purchased last year for that purpose and for additions to master's resilience. The report was adopted, ami the Clerk instructed to communicate with Mr Fraser, member for Clyde, respecting a vote for the sum of money required. The other business transacted was of no special importance.
