GARDENER'S CALENDAR.
Kitchen Garden.—lf any opeiations recommended for last month remain unfinished, they must be no longer delayed. Make the last sowing of Turnips for the season early in the month. Sow early cabbage on a cool shaded spot ; also curled greens and J-pinach. The ' growth cf Bbubard will be greatly strengthened by a top dressing of short manure being placed over the roots, and a little guano applied during moist weather will well repay the outlay. Two or three leaves ought to bo left on each Rhubarb plant, as too bare cutting tendo to weaken the plants. F uit Gardes.—Trained tr-cs will require attention See that the tie's of grafts are all removed. Thin Rasp berry Canes, to admit light and air to those intended for bearing next season. Flower GAnmN.—Dahlias and Hollyhocks will require strict attention as to staking and watering. A good mulching of manure placed over their roots will prevent evaporatxn, and produce rapid growth. rani am. Fuchsia&c. Roses may still be budded, and cuttings of the China and Noisette class will root freely if put into a cool shaded spot. tet cuttings of Scarlet and other Geraniums. Renew old Geraniums by shaking the soil completely away from their roots, and repotting them in small sized pots in rather poor, light soil; set them under glass until they have started into growth again.
