CROMWELL TOWN COUNCIL.

The Council met in the School room on Monday the fith inst.-Present; the Mayor, Councillors Edwards, Whetter, and Kidd. The minutes of the previous meeting having been read and confirmed, a letter was read from the Corporation of Queenstown, ask. ing the co-operation of the Council, to procure'endowment of land as a source of reVenue. Received and ordered to be considered at next meeting. Cr. Whetter proposed,—That tenders be called for the.completion of the kerbing and foot paths in Mclmore Street, seconded by Cr. Edwards and carried. Proposed by Cr. Edwards,-That the Town Clerk write to the several owners of Water- races in the neighbourhood, and ascert.iin.on what terms they are willing to contract for a supply of water for the use of the Town, seconded by Cr. El ward?,—That, the Colonial Government be written to, urging upon them the necessity of erecting a post Office, and establishing a Money Order Offi;e., seconded by Cr.
