CLYDE TOWN COUNCIL.

The usu.il fortnightly meeting of the Council took plaoe at the Council Clumbers on Tuesday the Bth inst. at 7 o'clock p.m. Present, Mr. D. M'Pherson Mayor, and Councillors Cambridge, Hazlett, Shaw, and M'Connochie. The minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed. A letter from the Queenstown Corporation was read, asking the Clyde Corporation to co-operate with them, on tlie subject of Land endowments to Corporations, and the establishment of a Municipal Conpress. Proposed by Cr. Shaw, seconded by Cr. Hazlett,—That the Municipality of Clyde « co-operate with the Queenstown Munici" ity, and that a sub-committee, consist' in? of Crs. Hazlett, M'Connoc' ie, Cambridge, and the mover bo appointed to consider and report on that, and other subjects affeetinc Municipalities.—Carried. Account of Mr. Hueston returned for reconsideration. Notice of motion hv Mr. D. M 'Connoehie That the sum of £3 3s be paid for tracings and.nlaus of levels of Sunderland Street. Vote to the Chair, concluded the proceedings.
