ALEXANDRA TOWN COUNCIL

The fortnightly meeting was held in the Public Library on Wednesday, the 18th inst. Present : the Mayor and full Council. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. The Town Clerk was instructed to acknowledge receipt thereof, statinp that the resolutions would receive the earliest consideration of the Council. Further consideration of Bye Laws postponed till next meeting. 11 was also resolved that steps be taken at once towards the formation of the main StreetTenders to be called for, for excavation and fencing in of public Ashpits: Tenders to be in by 31st Instant. A vote of ilianks to the Chair concluded the proceeding!".
