CHURCH COMMITTEES.

(To the editor of the dujjstan times.) Sir, 1 am proud to know that, Mr. Em, aPfjbySe'iai Probitnner, been placed nmrngst the people of the Dunstan District; for year; past, numlnra not a few, felt the want of an acknowledged Clerof so-m Ciriaiiaa denomination or other in our midst. Sir, as an ear' - ist supporter oftheChiirrh of Christ, permit me to make a few remarks unon this important subject.. Ido sincerely hope, that the different congregations connected with tin suinort of Mr. Ross in this district will be particular, whom fiey appoint as a Committee to work in conjunction with the Kev. gentleman ; you may derend upon <),e fact, that an earnest God fearing committee tends very much to the encouragement and successful labours of y iur ministers. 1 doubt not for one moment but what the earnsst men and women of this christian 'community, will be there themselves, and not elect commercial men, who wink at the desecration of the sabbath, and if an opportunity com s their way, on that day, will even carry on business to a melancholy extent, and upon the Sunday evenings, there r.re euch .men to be sceo seated foremost .in thepiws, considered by far the loading members of the co"gregation. I ask you, Mi\ E iitor, are these the men to represent any Christian Church, I answer, no ? They arc nothing but wolves in sheep's clothing. Hoping this subject will be earnestly taken up, I am Sir, Youw, Observer. [The abve letters should have appeared in our last issue, but were held over in consequcnee of a pressure of matter.—Ed. D. T.[
