POLICE COURT. CROMWELL.
(Bemre H- W. Robinsox Esq. R.M.) Warbrick v Cameron.—lllegally taking possession of a horse; adjourned for one week. Wednesday, 4th Dec. Warbrick v Atkinson.—Claim for £5 12s for liquors supplied. Defendant pleaded nonliability under the Tippling Act. Plaintiff through his agent, Mr. G. Humphreys, urged that the Act in question was repeal ed by the present Licensed Victuallers Act this was overruled by the Beuch.— Verdict for Plaintiff. Same v Cameron.—Case dismissed. Quarterly Licensing Meeting. There were sixteen applications for Publicans, General, and Night Licences ; seven applications for General Licences only, and ten applications for Bottle Licences. There being no second Magistrate on the Bench, the applications were forwarded to Town to be dealt with as required by Law by his Honor, the Superintendent.
