DUNSTAN DISTRICT JOCKEY CLUB.
A meeting of the committee was held at Winstanley's National Hotel, on Tuesday evening the 12th. inst. Present, W. Fraser, President, J. Haz lett, Vice President, and Messrs Grindley, Fache, Christopher, M'Morran, Jones, Jack, and M. Marshall Secy. The minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed. Proposed by Mr. Smitham, seconded by Mr. Grindley,—That the following words be added to that portion of the Programme referring to the Dunstan Jockey Club Handicap, " the second horse to save his stakes, according to Rule 64 of the Jockey Club Rules."— Carried. Proposed by Mr. Grindley, seconded by Mr. W. Smitham,—That the right of occupation of the Grand Stand, the right to erect the Booth adjoining, the renting of horse paddock, and copyright of Race Cards, be sold by Public Auction on 27th. (See Advertisement) Carried. Messrs Hazlett Grindley and the Secretary were appointed a sub committee to carry out the foregoing resolution. Collectoi-s were appointed to canvass the District for funds. Meeting adjourned till Wednesday the 27th at Park's Hartley Arms Hotel. Vote to the Chair,concluded the proceedings.
