CLYDE.

TOWNCJUNCIL. The usual fortnightly meeting of the ; Council, was held on Tuesday last, at the Council Chambers.—present, Councillors Hazlett M'Counochie, Cambridge, Kyan Goodwin, and Shaw. In the absence of the Mayor, Councillor Hazlett presided. The minutes of last meeting were read,. ar d confirmed. Councillors Goodwin, M'Connochie, and Hazlett were re-appointed as a Finance Committee. The '1 own Clerk was desired to write to the Govornment, asking that the services of the Assistant Surveyor might be be given to place upon the plan given by the Government to the Council the suberban allotments lately surveyed. The meeting was adjourned till this day (Friday), the 9th inst., at 7 p.m. The usual vote of thanks concluded the proceedings.
