DUNSTAN DISTRICT HOSPITAL.

A special meeting of the Committee of the above, convened by circular, was held at the Council Chambers, Clyde, ou Saturday last, at two o'clock p.m. Pre sent—Messrs H W. Robinson (President) J. D. Feraud (Vice-President), J. Hastie B. G. Ryan, J. Hazlctt, C. Beck, J, Jack, M. Marshall, W. Auckland, aud L. W. Carter, Secretary. The Preside,t occuj ied the chair. The Secretary said, he received a letter signed by three members of I'oinmittue requesting him to convene this meeting. Proved by Mr Jack—" That Mr and Mrs M'Avten'a resignation be not accepted, and that the salary of Mrs M'Artcn be increased by ten shillings per-week." Mr Hastie proposed an amendine: t—- " That their resignation be accepted." There being no Seconder to the anie. dment. the original motion was carried. A vote of thanks to the chair concluded the proceedings.
