ARRIVAL OF THE ENGLISH MALL.

The Luxemburg question has been settled. The signature of treaty took place on the 10th. A telegram from New York, stated that President Johnson has ordered writ of Habeas Corpus of Virginia Court, respecting ex President Davis, to be obeyed. Richmond court has bailed ex President Davis. GENERAL SUMMARY. London, April 26th. The Queen continues in good health. The Princess of Wales is slowly recovering from an attack of rheumatism. The Princess Christian has given birth to a son. Mr Gladstone's amendment on the Reform Bill, was defeated by a majority of twenty two. He has resigned the leadership < f the Lb rils. The prosecution against Governor Fyre has failed, but fresh action is to be taken. The Duke of Edinburgh, in command of the Galatea leaves Gibralter shortly for Australia. The opening of the Paris Exhibition was unsuccessful, owing to the building being unfinishedj-Kind the extortion of Hotel keepers. The Great Eastern only brought sixty four passengers from America. The British North American Confederation Bill has received the Royal assent. News from Bombay states that Dr Livingstone is alive and well. The Spanish Government have restored the '• To: ardo" paying indemnity to owners. Twenty Fenian prisoners have been indicted for High Treason, and two hundred under the Whi'eboy Act. The exodus from Ireland to America is going on at the rate of one thousand per week. THE COXTIXENT. The Pope continues in good health, and has been enthusiastically received in public. It is reported that Garabaldians are inciting insurrection in Roman .territory to put down the tyrany of the Temporal Government, but to respect the spiritual authority of the Holy Father. Garibaldi has written to say that Rome must be the capital of Italy. The ceding of Russian America to the United States, is considered to be mutually advantageous to both countries. Affairs are in a frightful condition in Ppain. A revolution is expected.
