CLYDE CEMETERY.

MINUTES OF MEETING OF MANAGERS. Present Messrs I). M'Phnrsoc, Win Grimlley, Edward Ryan, and R. Bariow. The mi'iutos of last meeting were read ■and adopted. The Secretaiy reported that lie had written as instructed, to His Honor the Superintendent, asking for a grant of £4O; also to Win. Fraser, Esq., M.P.C.; a'so, the Civile Council, asking for a grant in aid for works in the 'emotery enclosure. The inward correspondence was, letters from Wm. Fraser, Esq., promising to use his best exertions in securing to the managers, a small grant of money. A letter from die Town Clerk, informing the managers their letter was ordered to stand over. A report from two ot the managers was received, stating that the contract of Dalziel a''tl Co., for fencing, had been completed in a most able and satisfactory manner. The account of Andrew Dalziel, £25, making and gravelling walks, levelling old walls, iSc., was passed for payment; also A R. Livingston—registry book, £1 Is. It was determined by the casti' g of lota. that compartment B shall be the Church ■of Eng'and compartment ; Catholic compartment ; A., Presbyterian compartment ; C and D, (the compartment partly filled up) be casual. Proposed by R, Bavlow and seconded by Edward Ryan—" That .Messrs P. M'Phersou and Wm. Grind ey wait upon the Mayor and Council of Clyde, arid request them to make up their deficiency—the sum being £11." Carried.

The Secretary reported that he had written to Ct. Mathews, Seedsman, of Dunedin, asking what sort of trees would he suitable for the Clyde Cemetery, and ill: price. Approved.
