TOWN COUNCIL, CLYDE.
The usual forlniglftly meeting of the Council was held ou Tuesday evening last there were present, the Mayor, and Councillors Cambridge, Hazlett, Goodwin, M'Connochie and Cope. The minutes of bust meeting were read and confirmed. The correspondence was read and rec: ived. A communication from the Ball Committee was . ot entertained. Proposed by Councillor Hazlett, and seconded by Councillor Goodwin—"That the Council give a donation of Five pounds to the Dnnstati Hospita ."—Carried. Proposed by Councillor Goodwin,"That tenders be called for curbing and channeling Sunderland Street, as pfei* specifications drawn up." —Seconded by Councillor M'Connochie and carried. Proposed by Councillor Cope, "That the ! ye Laws now read, numbering from No.l to 14 be and are hereby approved, and that the same be submitted to the Provincial Council for sanction ; and that such Bye Laws, be the Bye Laws of the Incorporated Town of Clyde."—Sccoudcd by Councillor Hazlett, and carried. That the Pubic Works Committee be empowered to expend a sum not exceeding Ten pounds during any one month."— Proposed by Cr. M'Connochie—"That if the making of the road fiom CI de to the Nevis, by the Provincial Government be not commenced within fourteen days from date, the ' Ge eral Government be applied to, to complete the same."—Secon ded by Counci lor Cope and carried. Ihe usual vote to the Chair concluded the proceedings.
