CLYDE. The usual fortnightly mecetong of the town Council was held* on Tuesday evening lust, the i6th iast, : present, the Mayor, J. I>. Foiv.ua Esq, an<i Councilore i 'ambridge, Cope. M'Connoehie and Hazlett. The Mayor occupied the Chair. The minutes of the lasc meeting were read and confirmed. The outward correspondence was approved, and inward received. A unanimdusvbtc was carried that the Jilayor telegraph and also write to His Konor, the Superintendent respecting the expenditure of £3OO upon the road be 1-wcon < lyde and the Nevis, and that a copy of Mr Pick's the late Superintendent's letter of the 17th July last coniai ig a direct promise to expend frach a sum be enclosed.
