Entrance £4 4s. WAKATIP HANDICAP ■Of 25 Sovs—Open to all Horses, the bona fide property of residents in the Wakatip and Nokomai Districts since Ist Nov. last, distance 2 miles. Nominations to be sent to the Secretary of the Lakes District Jockey Club by the night of the Bth January. Weights to be declared the following .evening. Entrance £3 3s. HACK RACE 'Of 15 Sovs—Open to all untrained Horses. Entrance 1 Sov. Post entry. SECOND DAY:— FRIDAY, 11th JANUARY, 1867. LADIES’ PURSE Of 20 Sovs—Welter Weights, gentlemen riders, distance 1£ miles. Entrance £2 2s. ■ LAKES' DISTRICT HANDICAP 'Of 75 Sovs—Open to all Horses, distance 3 miles. Nominations enclosing £3 3s, to be sent to the Secretary of the Lakes’ District Jockey Club, on or before the 27th inst; weights ■to be declared on the 26th inst. Acceptance, £2 2s. STEEPLE CHASE HANDICAP 'Of 60 Sovs—Open to all Horses. Nominations and acceptances same as in Lakes’ District Handicap. Distance 4 milts, oveas many jumps as the Stewr • ards may appoint. CONSOLATION HANDICAP Of 20 Sovs—For all beaten Horses. Distance miles. , .RULES amd REGULATIONS. The Rules of the Otago Jockey Club will be strictly enforced.
Three entries to be made for each race or the public money will not be given, and another race may be substituted. No person to enter or nominate a horse •unless he be a subscriber of not ltss than three sovereigna to the funds. Moreover, so person to enter or nominate a horse not his bona-fide property, unless the said subscription of three sovereigns be paid for the actual owner also, under forfeiture of any race such horse may vriu. No entry w»ll be received for any of the ra?es except upon this condition :—That ■ll disputes, claims and objections, arising siat of the raoing, shall be decided by the {Stewards, or a majority of them, whose decisions upon all points connected with the Carrying out of the above Programme shall bs final. All entries, unless otherwise specified, to be sent in previous to 8 p.m. on iih. Jany, 1867, addressed to the Stewards at Powell's Family Hotel, Queenstown, in sealed onvelOpes, containing entrance money, qualification money, full description and use of horse, and color to be worn by the xfder, under penalty of two sovereigns for .wegkct of same.
