The Sports' Committee have issued their pro"ramme which is a very liberal one, it appears i i another column. At Campbell's Gully mining matters are lookingly brisk. M'Gettyer's and Jackson's party's are doing first-rate at Adelaide Point, 40 ozs. to the paddock, is about the average, giving L 5 per week a man wages. The tributaries ot the Wiakai promise to turn out well. Dunnagan's •party have just bottomed with good prospects a; Potter's No. 1.. M'Connaek,, M'Menzie, and Lake's party are doing remarkably well, dmiths tail-race is nearly completed, it will be in active work in a short time, when the exceedingly rich ground at the lower end of Potter's will be once more workable. The Teviot party wjio are bringing in a head-race from Campbell's Gully are progressing rapidly with their work which will be completed in about two months. The Shelter Sheds are to be repaired, tenders for that purpose are already called.
