CROMWELL TOWN-COUNCIL
A special-meeting of the Council was held in the School-Room, on Friday the 23rd instant. Present—the Mayor and full Council. Moved by Councillor Marsh—" That standing order, No. 23, be suspended 'protern.'" Seconded by Councillor Hetherington, and carried. Moved by Councillor Hetherington—" That tenders for levelling the reserve in Melmare Street, be called for." Seconded by Councillor Marsh, and carried. Moved by Councillor Whetter—"That the sum of L. 10 be voted for an Inspector of the Town Hall during its erection. Application to be made to the Mayor, with power to make the appointment." Seconded by Councillor Kidd, and carried. Moved by Councillor Hetherington—" That Mr Goodyer of the Junction Hotel, oe written to by the Town-Clerk, informing him that a portion of hia Hotel is built upon the Municipal reserve, and that be will be charged a nominal rent j the annual ssaous? ™ be used at the next meeting of Council." Seconded by Councillor Marsh, and carried. The meeting then adjournwL
