Punedin, Nov. :?2, 10.55 a.m. Another extensive fire i a Christ Church —three houses destroyed—-one man burned to death. On Tuesday last, Mr F. Pillon Bell refused to join Mr J. VogeFs Ministry—in consequence, a further adjournment till 'Wednesday, when the follow ing gentlemen took office:—Vogel, Provincial Treasurer; Mouat, Provincial Secretary; Maddock, Provincial Solicitor ; Molliso a and Orbell, Non-Ofiicial Members. Two boats were capsized in a squall between Portobello and Port Chalmers— William Geary, and Captain Bidley and son, old settlers were drowned. Alfred Cleve, committed for trial on the charge of appropriating moneys 4f> his own use whilst acting a?. Trustee in the Insolvent Estate of John Fargro.
