POST OFFICE NOTICES

MAILS CLOSE As Thursday will be Christmas Day find a Post Office holiday, the Chief Post Office will be open from 7 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday for delivery of letters, &c On Friday (Boxing Day) tho office will be open from 9 to 1 0 a.m. only. Mails for Motuotaria, Wallingford, Porangahan, and Hcrbertville will close on Wednesday at 2 p.m. in place of Thursday ns usual. For the Sandwich Island, America, West Indies, the Continent of Europe, &c, via San Francisco, on Saturday, 3rd January at noon. This mail will be due in London on 13th February. Tho Stella will leave the Bluff for tho West Coast Sounds on Saturday, the 27th inst. J. Geubb, Chief roetmnfter.
