FIRES.
Dunedin, This day. A five-roomed house belonging to Staff-. Sergeant Harrison of the Volunteer force was totally destroyed by fire at an" early hour on Saturday. The bouse was insured in the Standard office for £20.
A small cottage in the North-east Valley owned and occupied by John Witheymau was burnt down last night. The building was insured for £120 in tho South British office.
Auckland, This day. ■ A fire broko out this morning and destroyed a "double shop at Parnell, occupied by O'Brion, baker, and George, grocer.
