An information has been laid against Mr Spurdle, one of the candidates for the mayoralty by one Timms, charging him with having infringed the Municipal Corporations Act, by being concerned in some -works for the borough council over the value of £20. The case comes on on Thursday, the day after the election. Dtojedin, This day. The Attorney-General of New South Wales has declined to file' a bill, against McKay, Doclson, and Pritchard. Bltsnheim, this day. John Rose, a lad of sixteen, whoso exploits were described last week, wasbrought up on remand yesterday. The doctors having declined to certify to his insanity, he was again remanded for seven days.to. sec if insane symptoms develop themselves. ,- Auckland, .This• day. Harry Moody, employed at the Melbourne Clothing Company's was committed for trial yesterday on several charges ot larceny. „ . Wellington, This day. Tho Appeal Court resumed at 12 o'clock yesterday, when argument was heard in two Dunedin cases—Regina v. Flynn and Regina v. Fowler. In tho former the conviction was quashed, and in the latter it was affirmed. .
