STRIKE OF SEAMEN.
Auckland, This day. The strike that originated amongst the crews of the steamers Roweua and lona has extended to all the other coastal steamers in port. The following vessels being laid up in consequence:—Waitaki, Macgrcgor, Annie Milliank, Enterprise, and Rotomahnna. The two latter trade to the Thames with which communication will be cut off during the strike. It is estimated that 70 men arc out on strike. The grievance is the refusal of the owners to pay overtime.
