FIRES.
Invkhcaboill, This day. The Gap road Hotel near Glinton was burned down hist night. The cause is unknown. Nothing was saved. The landlord, (J. James) was absent in Winton. The insurances arc £200 in Colonial Office on the house, and £150 on tho stock and furniture in the Equitable office. Patea, This day. A cottage occupied by Mrs Seaton was burned to the ground at" three o'clock this morning through the bursting of a kerosene lamp. The building was owned by Mrs Guv, and was insured for £100 in the National office, and furniture for £80 in the Colonial office.
