BOROUGH PUBLIC WORKS.

I Tho Public Works Committee of tho Borough Council held their usual meeting last evening, and recommended to the Council as follows : — 1. That tho first part of the overseer's report re Craven-street be adopted, the foothpath to be formed four feet wide on each side of the street, provided that the inhabitants contribute half the cost eif the work, 2. That the report of the overseer re watering the streets be adopted and authorised. 3. That the overseer's progress and recommendation reports be adopted and authorised, except clause 0 of the recommendations report, deferred. 4. That subject to the Municipal Solicitor's opinion as to tho propriety of selling the sections already advertised for sale for non-payment of rates, the sairl sections be sold.
