Webb's Royal Marionettes give their second performance in the Theatre Royal to-night. The annual meeting of the H.B. Rifle Association will be held at the Masonic Hotel at 8 o'clock to-night. The odds -will be called over at the Criterion Hotel every evening - until the races. The .share list of the Evening Times Newspaper Company closes to-morrow. Entries for produce, implements, dogs, &c, for exhibition at the A. and P. Society's show next week, close on Wednesday. The members of St. John's Branch, H.A.C.8.5., ure requested to meet in the branch-room at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, in mourning regalia, tc attend the funeral of the late Father Forest. Mr Margoliouth will hold an unreserved i sale of drapery, fancy goods, Sec,., at the City Auction Mart on Wednesday, and at the same time will dispose of the personal effects of the late Mr Radford. The regular monthly meeting of the Scinde Lodge of Freemasons is convened for Thursday evening. Mr D'Arcy JPyland will give an exhibition of his skill in horse taming at the Horse Bazaar on Saturday evening-. The Hastings Town Board invite tenders for forming quarry road at per chain. Creditors in the estate of the late J. M. Girdlestonc who have not yet dono so are requested to forward their clams to Mr 11. A. Cornford before Monday next, or they | will not be recognised. Gentlemen interested in the formation of an Amateur Athletic Club are requested to meet at the Criterion Hotel on the evening of Thursday, Dth proximo. Accounts owing to the late firm of Lee and Sheath must be paid to Mr J. M. St. Clair without delay. Messrs Walton and Co. will sell a number of forfeited shares in the Southern Cross Petroleum Company by auction at Christehurch on the 7th proximo. Dr. De Lisle has returned from Taupo. Bee-keepers can be supplied with everything needed in the apiary by Mr J. Adamson, Hustings, or Mr G. Gillies, agent Napier. Mr C. R. Taylor, Hastings, has firsteliiss boots and shoes at moderate prices. Mr A. 11. Price, Porangahati, has 1000 merino wethers for sale. A gold ear-ring has been lost, and finder will oblige by leaving - same at office of this paper. Mr Carswcll has sold his dairy business at Petane to Milne and Sons, who will carry it on. The Bon Marchc quotes price for India muslins (all shades). Messrs Magill and Campbell are opening up a largo lot of new goods, direct from London.
