Dr Menzies' testimonial fund closes today. Mr A. B. Burton delivers a Gospel Address at West Clive at 7 o'clock this evening. Those interested in dairy produce aro invited to meet in tho Oddfellows' Hall, Taradale, at 7.30 this evening, when Mr Bowron will lecture on the management of cheese and butter factories. An admittance fee of sixpence will bo charged to defray expenses. A meeting of tho Clive Square Improvement Committee will be held at 8 o'clock this evening at the Garrison Band room, Emerson-street. Acceptances and entries for the Cricket Association sports on Saturday close at tho Empire Hotel at 8 o'clock to-night. The Napier Orchestral Society give a popular concert in the Theatre Royal tonight. A. fancy dress ball will be held in the Town Hall, Hastings, to-night. Tenders for supplying 300 telegraph poles, delivered either at Danovirke or Makatoku railway stations, will be received by Mr Bold. Inspector of Telegraphs, up to noon to-morrow. The first meeting of delegates from the various Friendly Societies in connection with the annual fete will be held at the Foresters' Hall, Dickens-street, to-morrow evening - .
