METHODIST FREE CHURCH AMALGAMATION.

Auckland, This day.

Intelligence has been received by the mail that the Assembly of the United Methodist Free Church, which recently held its sittings at Newcastlc-on-Tyno, has unanimously consented to allow the Free Churches in Now Zealand to amalgamate with other Methodist Churches on the basis which has already secured the approval of the highest courts in the colony. A general conference of Australian Wesleyan Churches, which meets in Christchurch iv December next, will, it is expected, advance the proposed amalgamation another stage.
