PRESENTATION.

Wellington, This day. At Government House to-day the Governor presented Captain W. J. Grey, of the Stella, with a handsome gold watch, a present from tho American Government in recognition of his services in connection with the search and rescue of tho crew of the American brigantine Sarah Hunt at the Auckland Islands in December, 1883. All the members of the Government, with the exception of Sir Julius Vogel, were present.
