GAZETTE NOTIFICATIONS.

An extraordinary Gazette issued last night contains the resignation of the StoutVo'gel Ministry and the appointment of the Atkinson Ministry. Mr J. M. Jamieson, late of the Dunedin Naval Volunteers, is gazetted Honorary Major of the New Zealand Volunteer _orce. Two troops of cavalary at Waikato, and also the Hawera Light Horse, have been disbanded. , Mr A. Phillips, of Selwyn, has resigned his position as Justice of tho Peace. Notice is given in the Gazette that a lighthouse is in course of erection at Kaipara Heads, and that it is anticipated the li"ht will be ready for exhibition about December next. The lighthouse is situated on the north head of Kaipara harbor. The lio-lit will be of tho second order, flashing a white light, and will show a flash every ten seconds.
