MANSLAUGHTER.

An inquest was held on Saturday on the body of Louis Marisko, aged 12 years. The boy Avas one of three brothers who Avero larking at home on the Ist instant. The deceased and his brother Frank had been calling the elder one, Joseph, nicknames, and on his pursuing them into the bedroom Frank picked up a piece of iron that was used as a poker to throAv at Joseph. The latter saAV the missile coming and dodged it, with the result that it struck deceased on the side of tho head, fracturing his skull and driving tho bones into the brain substance, causing inflammation, from Avhich he died. The jury found a verdict in accordance with the evidence. Frank Marisko has been arrested and partly examined on the charge of manslaughter. He docs not deny throwing the poker, but says it was not meant for Louis The father of the boys, an Italian, was a fisherman, but he has been in the Seuclifle Asylum for several years past.
