Wanoanui, This day

A young man named Thomas Johnson Avas arrested at Otaki on Friday and Avas charged here on Saturday Avith forging a telegram at Parnell purporting to be signed by Robert Hood, requesting £7 from his brother here. Accused Avas remanded for eight days without bail. Johnson has been carrying on tho same game Avith several people, getting altogether £22 under false pretences. He sent telegrams from Inglewood, New Plymouth, Onehunga, and Parnell, all to different people, and signed Avith the names of relatives. Other charges Avill folloAV.
