CONFERENCE OF CHAMBERS OF COMMERCE.

Wellington, This day. At the Chamber of Commerce yesterday Messrs E. Pcarco and J. C. Nathan were appointed delegates to represent the Wellington Chamber at the proposed conference in Canterbury of delegates from the various Chambers of Commerce of New Zealand. The following resolution was carried :~ " That at the first meeting of the delegates it is desirable that the introduction of a decimal and metric system of weights and measures should bo discussed." Among the other subjects which the Chamber agreed to refer to the delegates were those of railway management, revision of the Customs tariff, and the establishment of tribunals of commerce.
