This day. Further details arc to hand regarding the bank robbery at Beaconsfiold. The acting manager (not the manager), Mr Stockhouse was tied to a tree with his head enveloped in a pillow-case. Two men entered the bank, while two others who were armed cmarded Stockhouse for two hours. He was then released. The watch ancl money which ho had on him were not taken. The cash in the bank at the time of the robbery : was unusually large, owing to its being pay-day at the mines.
