Langson, ; in Tonqlnii. . He "announced 'that from, accounts which" had been' received by the' Government it was clear that the Prench forces,''which were going to occupy Langson iv accordance with treaty, had been led into a regular, ambush by ..the Chinese. M. Perry further stated that it was the intention of his Government to demand from. China ten millions sterling in reparation for the outrage. ... It is currently stated here to-day that the Government will order the occupation. of Eoochoo by the Prench troops as a guarantee for the payment of the inderimity to be' demanded from' China.
