Evelyn Ashley stated that Lord Derby had received an offer from the Australian colonies to contribute yearly the'sum of £.15,000 towards maintaining a High Commissioner in tho Western Pacific, who would' reside in Eastern New Guinea. Mr Ashley added that;' Her .
