MEETING OF UNIVERSITY STUDENTS.

Dunedin, This day. At a meeting of University students, a motion was carried that, in the opinion of the meeting, mathematics should be a compulsory subject for the B.A. degree. The students, before adjourning last night, resolved " That, in the opinion of this meeting, the proposed regulations for the B.A. degree will tend to lower the standard for that degree, and that the chairman forward the resolution passed to the Chancellor of the New Zealand University, and co-operate with the students of the Canterbury College in bringing them before the notice of the Senate."
