LONDON.
June 26. A cricket match, Australians v. Gentlemen of England, was commenced at the Oval to-day. The following are the names of the homo team :— W. W. Read, C. T. Studd, Christopherscn, E. J. Diver, W. G. Grace, Lord Harris, A. P. Lucas, W. E. Koltcr, A. G. Steele, Welman, and Ridley. Tho greatest interest was taken in the match, and the weather being splendid tho attendance of spectators was enormous. The visitors went in first and scored 229. Macdonnell, bowled, 15 ; Murdoch, caught, 20 ; Scott, bowled, 16 ; Blackham, Ibw., 69 ; Midwinter, not out, GO ; Boyle, caught, 21. Midwinter batted splendidly, and never gave a chance. The home team then went in, and at the close of the day's play had lost two wickets for 91. Grace not out, 46 ; Studd, bowled, 10 ; Lucas bowled, 18 ; Read, not out, 11. The Marquis and Marchioness ot Normanby have arrived at Liverpool. Lady Normanby is much improved in health.
