MADAGASCAR COMPLETELY BLOCKADED BY FRENCH.
APPEARANCE OF A NEW MAHDI IN THE SOUDAN. (Received May 30, 0.45 a.m.) PARIS. May 28. Despatches have been received from Admiral Miot, commanding the French squadron in Malagasy waters, announcing that ho had broken off the parleying which for some time past has been proceeding with a view to a settlement of affairs, and in consequence of the unyielding attitude of the natives, has established a blockade of the whole coast of Madagascar.
