Tho following telegram was received today by tho Napier agency of the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Company from the London office, dated London, 27th May : — Wool.—Market unchanged. Up to date 240,000 bales have been sold, and 130,000 bales have been taken for export Wheat. — Market quiet. Adelaide is worth 41/-, New Zealand 39/-, and Tuscan 41/- per 496 cwt. Adelaide, f.a.q ,is worth c.i.f. to arrive 40/- per ISOlbs. Tallow. —Beef is in demand, but mutton is neglected. Both mutton and beef worth '671 ■ per cwt. Leather. —Market firm. Best sides are worth ll£ per lb. N.Z. Hemp. — Common qualities are neglected. Fine is worth £27, are common £17 per ton.
By Electric Telegbafii.—CoPYEianT. (Reutee's Telegrams.) (Received May 29, 1.20 a.m.) London, May 27. Consols remain at 101-J-, and New Zealand securities atyesterday's quotations. At the wool sale to-day 11,700 bales were catalogued. A better demand for all descriptions was experienced. The withdrawals since the opening of the scries now amount to 21,000 bales. The sales have been adjourned to June 4 for the holidays.
