BOLD ATTEMPT FOR LIBERTY.

A prisoner named Richard Giblin, under remand for issuing a false cheque at Oamaru, made a bold attempt to escape yesterday i While ho was in the yard he cleared a fence, and a most exciting chase resulted, lots of the townspeople joining in the hue and cry. He was at last run to earth under a private residence.
