INQUEST.
Dunedin, This day.
An inquest was held yesterday on the body of Edgar King, who was drowned through falling off the railway bridge into the Taieri river. The deceased was with his son (aged 15) at the time. The lad was walking in front, and hearing a splash found that his father, who was over 70 years of age, had fallen over. It was not deceased's wife, but his daughter and her family (her husband being in London) who went to Auckland. A verdict of accidental death was returned.
