THE SUPREME COURT.

New Plymouth, This day

At the Supreme Court yesterday AVilliam Cunningham, convicted on the charge of indecent assault, was sentenced to seven years'penal servitude. The Maori case of forcible entry into a dwelling was dismissed. The case of James Suiter, charged with arson at Hawera, was proceeded with this morning. Up to the adjournment six witnesses had been examined. The case is likely to occupy the whole day.
