Tliis clay. An in<p.icst has been held at Gcelong on tho body of Kitchen, the driver of the cattle train, who was killed hy the Little River collision. The evidence taken showed that tho "staff" regulations have of late been constantly in abeyance. Tho trial of Biddle, the Wcribce station master, for manslaughter in connection ■with the recent accident, is fixed for July. The proposed oflicial investigation of the circumstances attending the Little River collision has not yet commenced. The following- re-arrangement of Ministerial offices is announced:-—Mr Gillies becomes Minister of Public Instruction, and retains the portfolio of Works ; Mr Berry relinquishes the Postmaster- Generalship, ■which is taken by Mr James Campbell ; Mr Thomley, M.L.0., joins tho Ministry without portfolio.
