Auckland, This day. ■„ A fire.broke out at 3 o'clock yesterday afternoon in Lynch 1 8 Aurora Hotel, Victoria■street, anditrwas not suppressed 1 till the top story wooden portion division was gutted. The damage is'about £400 to s£soo. r The buildiug is .insured in the New Zealand oflicc for ..£ISOO, the ■furniture for ,£GSO, and the stock fur £250. Tho re-insurances are —stock and furniture in tho Colonial £250, and Norwich Union £500 ; building, South British, £050. The firo broke out in the bedroom upsttiivs used by John Q,\itnn, but who had not. been in it. from 7.30 in the morning. There is no clue as to' the origin of tho fire.
