Auckland, This day. The mission schooner John Hunt has been floated off the reef, and is now safe at Maeutai.

The captain uf the Elizabeth, Avhich arrived at Levuka after a long cruise, reports recovering the captain and crew of the American schooner Stagdiound, wrecked

at Strong's Island on the 22nd August last. Tho Elizabeth touched there on the 22nd December last, and rescued the stowaways. It is reported in Levuka that a portion of a large ship has been washed up on the island of Alofa. : Tho return of the transactions of the labor vessels for the season 1883 shows that seventeen vessels Avere engaged, making 32 voyages during the season. Tavo thousand two hundred and thirteen laborers Avere introduced to Fiji, and 1339 expired men returned to their homes.
