Messrs Banner and Liddle's third wool sale for this seasan was held yesterday. Tho catalogue comprised 132 bales, a bags wool, consisting principally of crossbred. There was a good attendance) of buyers, and competition was active_; a few lota were pnssed in, the most of them being, however, disposed of, directly after the sale, at satisfactory figures. The Melbourne manager of the National Mortgage and Agency' Company of New Zealand reports of the local grain market as follows:— Wheat, per bushel, 3s lid to 4s, prices are barely maintained; malting biiricy, 4s to 4s 9d, with market rather weaker; New Zenlnnd oats are depressed, feeding qualities realising 23 Gd to 2s 9d, and milling ditto 2s 10d to 3s; Now Zealand oats, under bond, are in fair demand at 2e 3d to 2s 7d.
