ATTEMPT TO SELL EXHIBITION BUILDING.

Christchurch, This day,

The exhibition building was put up to auction to-day- on account of Mr Gass, the contractor for its erection, but the sale was a complete failure. For the whole building, 700 feet long and 31 feet wide, of corrugated iron, wood, and scrim, £350 was offered and refused. Finally 50 feet of .it were sold for £31 ss. It will be dismantled, and the materials sold.
