The annual meeting , of ratepayers in tho Taradalo River Board district will be hold in tho Oddfellows' Hull at 7 o'clock tonight, wheu three new members will be elected.
The brethren of the Scinde Lodge of Freemasons hold their regular monthly meeting in the Masonic Hall, Tennysonatreet, at 7.30 this evening. Tender* for the purchase of the growing crop of hay in the large paddock at Pakowhai must be seat in to Mr Mahon by noon to-morrow. Accounts against tho ftapior Hospital must be rendered to tho secretary by noon to-morrow. Messrs Banner and Liddlo sell on the premises adjoining the Provincial Hotel, at 2 p.m. to-morrow, a number of figures in plaster and a small lot of furniture. Mr Ryau sells by auction at his mart on Saturday a. quantity of furniture, kc. Mr Monteith sells hacks and trap horses, spring cart, tip drays, &c, by auction at the Horse Bazaar on Saturday.
The annual election of School Committees in the Hawke's B.iy education district will take place on the evening of Monday, '28th instant, at tho schoolhouses in the various districts.
Messrs Knight Bros., Hastings, call for tenders for the constant supply of matai firewood.
The temporary address of Madame Politz is Mr G. Bowman's, Sualy road., Mr H. R. Lascelles, land, estate, and commission agent, Tennyson street, publishes a card.
Mr T. A. Hogg offers £1 reward for the recovery of a black and tan collie dog, lost from Tomoana.
A.8., office of this paper, wants furnished rooms for a lady.
