THE NEW IRELAND EXPEDITION. —CONVICTION OF THE MARQUIS DE RAYS.

PARIS. January 2. The trial of tho Marquis De Rays on the charge of fraud and deception in connection with tho New Ireland expedition was concluded to-day, when the prisoner was found guilty and sentenced to four years imprisonment and to pay a line of three thousand francs. Tho associates of tho Marquis were also found guilty, and were sentenced to shorter terms of imprisonment and fined in the same amount.
